BETRAYAL BY LEADERS

I feel betrayed by our leaders
Every time I turn on the news
Someone's reading a script to us
Crushing the edge of the truth.

And when I read the newspaper
The perspective's always the same
Almost like the Politburo
Where only one side gets the blame.

A fresh look at the statistics
Can tell the world quite a lot
But when they're presented just one way
All they give us is what we got.

Injustice swirls all around us
We're too tired to open our eyes
Son we remain blinded by the
Leaders and those who tell us lies.

Deceit to readers who have lost insight
Bertayal by leaders blurring dark and night
Lying to people who gave up the fight.


Try and listen to a debate
And hear the ranting of both sides
But when you get inside the truth
You'll discover that they are lies.

I feel betrayed by all of them
Who preach their slanted  point of view
Just one time I would like to hear
A politician tell the truth.
